Track 4 from my monthly song series: The Teenage Years. A few weeks ago I found a 90 second demo of this song on one of my old hard drives and thought it’d be a good fit for my friend Chuck Brody, who produced and mixed it in his Manhattan studio. Randy Schrager played drums, I played guitar and synth, CB played the bass, and Jessica Thompson mastered it. Who knew that such a tiny scrap of an idea laid down in my dorm room could become such a cool song!

It’s…well, there’s really no way to explain it. It’s the most fascinating cover ever. He was just sitting there, playing Minecraft, and totally vamping on this for a solid 15 minutes. I didn’t start recording until the last 2 minutes and I am so deeply regretful about that.
